Story of an Hour - Book Cover Illustration
Illustrative book cover based on the short story 'A Story of an Hour' by Kate Chopin. The story is of a young married woman who is told her husband is dead, and as she makes peace with his death and realizes her newfound freedom, the husband returns home, shocking her and causing her to die from a heart attack. Taking a conceptual approach using the themes of missed freedom, I illustrated a dove that has flown into a window.
